You may notice a special Crab-N-Go shop in the Lobby when looking for a multiplayer match to join. You can purchase special food and drink here that offer temporary buffs to your gear as well as your character overall, like Double XP, or something very similar. But you can’t buy as much as you want with regular money, you need special Food and Drink Tickets to fill your belly.
It can be frustrating to hit up the Crab-N-Go without any currency to buy meals. But if you’re coveting some of those delicious snacks, it’s actually quite easy to earn Food and Drink Tickets. In fact, there are a variety of ways to accomplish this, though none of them include going to the General Hotlanta Store and buying tickets. So you can save your money for all the goodies you want to use to decorate or customize your character.
If you want to stock up on tasty meals and drinks before you head out to compete in Turf War matches, here’s how you can do so.
How to get food and drink tickets in Splatoon 3
There are a variety of ways to collect Food and Drink Tickets in Splatoon 3. First, level up enough to get to Level 4. You’ll automatically receive a Food Ticket that you can use and test out to see its effects.
The second way can be repeated often, though it’s not guaranteed and it will cost you the most money. You can go to the Shell-Out capsule vending machine to the left of the Crab-N-Go and spend 5,000 in cash for a daily pull. You aren’t guaranteed to get any Tickets, but it’s the cheapest, most direct way to try. If you want to try again, it’ll cost you 30,000. So your best shot is spending the 5,000 and hoping you get a Ticket.
Otherwise, you can play the single-player campaign, Hero Mode, where you can destroy fuzzy ooze to potentially find Food Tickets. They may come from crates or drop from enemies, and you may even earn them from optional missions. This won’t cost you anything and it’s a good change of pace.
You can also exchange some capsules earned in Salmon Run for Food and Drink Tickets. Look out for Red Capsules to give you a Common Food Ticket. Purple Capsules will get you one or more Drink Tickets. Bottom line? Keep playing, and you’ll eventually do enough activities to net you plenty of Tickets. Eat and drink up!
Splatoon 3 is available now exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
