With the first few Splatfests of Splatoon 3 having taken place and with many, many more to come, players may be confused about the awards that Splatfests have to offer to players that take part. While the concept of all participants being rewarded Super Sea Snails for taking part (with participants of the winning team receiving the most Super Sea Snails), the idea of Splatfest Titles can be a bit more confusing. In this article, we’ll explain Splatfest Titles, how to win them, and more.
How Do Players Win Splatfest Titles?
Splatoon players that take part in Splatfests can win titles through the number of Experience Points - also known as EXP - they rack up through the matches they play during the Splatfest. Players receive 3 EXP for winning a match, 1 EXP for any score over 200 points, and 2 EXP for any score over 400 points.
Alongside this, there are also Splatfest Power Levels that will impact the amount of EXP won and lost depending on the outcome of a match. Power Levels are decided by the players’ performance in the first seven battles they play. It will also impact how players are matched with one another during Splatfest matches. For instance:
Power Level 0-1399: +30 EXP when winning, -10 EXP when losing Power Level 1400-1699: +40 EXP when winning, -10 EXP when losing Power Level 1700-1799: +50 EXP when winning, -15 EXP when losing Power Level 1800-1899: +60 EXP when winning, -15 EXP when losing Power Level 1900+: +70 EXP when winning, -20 EXP when losing
A List Of All Splatfest Titles In Splatoon 3
Overall, the total list of Splatfest Titles available to players in Splatoon 3 are:
Fan: Unlocked automatically, awarding three Super Sea Snails to the winning team and two to the losing team Fiend: Unlocked after reaching 250 EXP total, awarding five Super Sea Snails to the winning team and three to the losing team Defender: Unlocked after reaching 500 EXP total, awarding nine Super Sea Snails to the winning team and seven to the losing team Champion: Unlocked after reaching 850 EXP total, awarding sixteen Super Sea Snails to the winning team and thirteen to the losing team Ruler: Unlocked after reaching 999 EXP total, awarding twenty-four Super Sea Snails to the winning team and twenty-one to the losing team
After players reach the title of Ruler, it should be noted that players will then be able to continue ranking up until the current Splatfest ends. When ranking up with the title of Ruler, the number of times the player has continued ranking will be shown next to the title - for instance, ‘Ruler +1’. As well as this, with each rank up, the winning team will continue to receive twenty-four Super Sea Snails, and the losing team twenty-one Super Sea Snails.
As well as this, when winning Splatfest Titles, each title will follow the name of the team they were on. For instance, if a player took part in the three-way Rock, Paper, Scissors Splatfest and chose Team Scissors, their title would appear as ‘Scissors Fan’. This means that players can try their hardest in each Splatfest for a brand-new title showing off their chosen team and their final ranking in that specific Splatfest!
