Spider-Man: No Way Home is expected to have a good amount of easter eggs, including villains from the other Spider-Man movies, that fans are going to really enjoy. Furthermore, Spider-Man: No Way Home is also heavily rumored to have multiple Spider-Men from past films, so fans will have to wait in order to see if this is true.

With the debut of the Chinese poster, Marvel Studios and Sony are evidently courting a release date in China for Spider-Man: No Way Home. There’s currently no release date set at this time, but the film would be the first of Marvel Studios’ phase four features to hit China if it gets past all of the approvals and roadblocks. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Black Widow, and Eternals were excluded from Chinese theaters. Each film has to go through a vetting process before China allows it to be played overseas. Sometimes it isn’t even the film itself that becomes the issue. Eternals, for example, isn’t being played in China due to a now-deleted comment made by director Chloe Zhao which nationalist critics deemed offensive to China.
In the event that Spider-Man: No Way Home does get to screen in China, it can only benefit the film’s box office revenue. It may end up being the best-selling Marvel movie of the year 2021. This may not be saying much due to the ongoing pandemic and lower attendance at movie theaters, but it will still be a feat on its own merit.
No Way Home is rumored to feature the versions of Spider-Man played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, but in the tragic event that this is just a rumor then many people are going to be very disappointed, to say the least. Still, it appears very likely since they’re bringing back Doctor Octopus from the original Spider-Man 2, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility.
A really cool moment that may happen is if they get that iconic moment with all three Spider-Man actors together, they should recreate the iconic “pointing Spider-Men” meme. Of course, as previously mentioned, fans have to wait a little bit longer to see if these rumors are true.
Spider-Man: No Way Home will be in theaters on December 17th, 2021.
