Despite this, there are a lot of questions still left unanswered, so Game Informer sat down with the game’s creative director, Bryan Intihar, to dig a little deeper with a rapid-fire Q&A session that ended up with him revealing a deep desire to see the character make an appearance in Kingdom Hearts.
There were 114 questions asked during the interview session, some of them semi-serious inquires into the game, but many others designed to get a humorous response from Mr. Intihar. Most of his answers were concise and straight to the point, but one had him positively gushing. When asked if Spider-Man would appear in Kingdom Hearts, Intihar responded by saying, “That’s, like, my dream.”
He’s not alone in this dream. There are countless other gamers who would love to see Disney incorporate the Marvel universe into the Kingdom Hearts franchise. There are still some worlds left to reveal for the third and final game in the series, so a glimmer of hope remains that we might see everyone’s favorite wall-crawler go toe-to-toe with some Heartless.
As for what else the upcoming Spider-Man has in store, we now know a lot more about the game than we did a year ago. First off, we know its release date is this September, and that it will be available in a pretty fantastic-looking collector’s edition. It was also confirmed that Spider-Man will, without a shadow of a doubt, never make it to the Xbox, and that the game will be locked at 30FPS on PS4 Pro.
Spider-Man launches exclusively for PlayStation 4 on September 7.
