Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was announced at Sony’s recent PlayStation Showcase event on September 9, alongside other hard-hitting titles like God of War: Ragnarok and a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake developed by Aspyr. Spider-Man 2’s brief trailer featured both Peter Parker and Miles Morales working together as well as a reveal of the popular villain Venom. While the demonstration didn’t show off any gameplay footage, that hasn’t stopped eager fans from getting excited about the new web-slinging title....

In the trailer, we see that Peter Parker is in a lot of trouble. His identity has been revealed to the public after his fallout with Mysterio and now that everybody knows he’s Spider-Man, his entire life is turned upside-down. When his situation starts to take a toll on friends and family, Peter turns to Doctor Strange for help, hoping that he has some sort of magical solution to his plight....

The two new Spider-Man skins are comic book classics. Skin number one features Spider-Man in his very own Fantastic Four outfit, a replacement after the team helped him get the symbiote Venom costume off, as well as a paper bag mask to keep his secret identity safe. The second costume is much more modern, taken from when Spider-Man joined the Fantastic Four under the new branding of the Future Foundation....

Prominent Splatoon 3 leaker OatmealDome confirmed that Nintendo has already begun to issue bans to some players before the event even begins. The bans reportedly revolve around a patch circulating throughout the community that would allow players to access the game’s Test Range early. While the data miner did not share much about the workings of the security system, they did elaborate that the bans could potentially be full bans from Nintendo Switch Online’s services as a whole....

Splatoon 3 players can add abilities to their in-game gear by either leveling them up or using ability chunks. Each piece of gear can have up to four abilities equipped through one primary slot and up to three secondary slots. Some abilities can only be equipped in primary slots and require multiple types of Splatoon 3 ability chunks in order to add them directly to gear. These include Stealth Jump, which hides players’ spawn locations, and Ninja Squid, which makes players harder to see while swimming at the cost of reduced swim speed....

Splatoon 3 was first announced during the February 2021 Nintendo Direct presentation, where it was revealed that the game is set after the final Splatoon 2 SplatFest event. The trailer also revealed the new Ink Bow weapon that can be used in both the game’s single player and multiplayer components. Since this initial reveal, Nintendo has revealed details on the game’s single player campaign, Return of the Mammalians, the game’s new hub world named Splatsville, and the newly revamped Salmon Run mode that was first introduced in Splatoon 2....

Nintendo has made the full list of Splatoon patch notes available here. Some notable changes detailed include significant adjustments to over 25 different weapons. The roller weapons have decreased in power, now requiring players to hit their opponents with the center of the roller in order to splat them in one hit. Players can also no longer splat in one hit when the roller is out of ink. The free inkbrush DLC has seen a useful buff and will now use 10% less ink whilst running, allowing players to go longer without having to recharge....

In a post on the Doom World forums, user ContrastSaturation has unveiled “The Bikini Bottom Massacre,” a full-conversion mod that does what it sounds like, lets Doom players loose in the aforementioned cartoon’s world, where they will take on the role of Squidward. According to the post, the basic premise is that Squidward has just been fired from his much-hated job at the Krusty Krab, and the ensuing rampage in the fictional town commences....
