The feat established a new bar for how quickly the game can be played. While the concept of all participants being rewarded Super Sea Snails for taking part (with participants of the winning team receiving the most Super Sea Snails), the idea of Splatfest Titles can be a bit more confusing....
You don’t have to wait until the game’s release to play, however, as a Splatoon 3 Splatfest World Premiere Demo is set to begin on August 27. The 12-hour event will allow players to test out both typical Splatfest Battles in the new game environment as well as Tricolor Turf War Battles. Turf War battles and three-way Tricolor Turf Wars during the demo should give a decent look at what to expect when the full games are released....
Even prior to the Spicy versus Sweet versus Sour Splatfest, players could potentially find themselves in 100x or 333x battles, which give the winners a much larger boost than completing a normal match, as the names imply. However, in Splatoon 2, winners of 100x matches would find an image of themselves and their teammates in the square celebrating their victory for their team. This feature was missing in Splatoon 3, and the team recently announced that it would be rectified by creating something new: letting players board their team’s float, with the team-leading idol, and take pictures....
In mid-August, developer Nintendo confirmed via Twitter that “large-scale paid DLC” was planned for Splatoon 3. The Tweet featured a silhouette of Pearl and Marina performing as Off the Hook, indicating that they will play a major role in the upcoming DLC. The other three members of Damp Socks did not show up in the image at all. However, many fans hope that they will get the spotlight in this DLC, as all three are uniquely designed characters who have drawn significant fan attention despite their minimal focus....

While it’s unclear what’s happening with Mario right now apart from his upcoming animated film and Rabbids-focused spin-off, Splatoon 3 has made sure that he’s still relevant in the public’s thoughts. The game is hiding some surprising references to Mario’s 3D efforts, most of them dripping with reverence for the older games. Not long ago, Nintendo revealed new details about the upcoming season of Splatoon 3. Known as Chill Season, the developer provided details on a number of different features coming to the arena shooter. For example, it was revealed that two maps would be added to the game, the new Brinewater Springs and Flounder Heights from the original Splatoon. In addition, new weapons, gear, and X Battles have already been revealed....
Splatoon always features a story mode, and the story of Splatoon 3 is particularly remarkable because it suggests big changes are coming to the world of the Inklings and Octolings. Nintendo refers to Splatoon 3’s story mode as “Return of the Mammalians;” in other words, it sounds like large numbers of mammals will reappear in this cephalopod-centric world. There’s still a lot of questions left unanswered about the Mammalians, but it’s clear that Splatoon will never be the same....
